Texas basketball will join elite company at the 2018 Las Vegas Invitational. The Longhorns are among a talented field that includes North Carolina, Michigan State and UCLA for the preseason tournament.
The four-team tournament will take place Nov. 22-23 at Orleans Arena.
Texas has yet to officially announce its inclusion, but UCLA confirmed the four-team field in a release.
The Longhorns are 7-3 in their all-time series against North Carolina, 3-3 against UCLA and 4-5 against Michigan State.
Texas participated in a stacked preseason tournament last season at the PK80 in Portland, Ore. The Longhorns faced Butler, Duke and Gonzaga, and went 1-2 in those games.
FOX Sports and FS1 will televise the Las Vegas Invitational.

Coach Shaka Smart will have to rely on a foundation of veteran forward Dylan Osetkowski and sophomore guard Matt Coleman. Despite declaring early for the NBA draft, Kerwin Roach could also be back as long as he doesn’t sign with an agent.
Texas has the 13th-best 2018 recruiting class in the country, according to 247Sports.com., with 4-star forwards Gerald Liddell and Kamaka Hepa signed for next season.
