Texas fans didn’t appreciate TCU football’s tweet poking fun at the Longhorns on Star Wars Day.
The Horned Frogs trolled Texas hard by tweaking the phrase of the day: “May the Fourth be with you.” TCU fans loved it. Texas fans, not so much.
It’s true. TCU has won four straight and five out of six against Texas since joining the Big 12.
However, the Longhorns still hold a sizable lead in the all-time series at 62-25-1. Plenty of Texas fans fired back at the Frogs with that piece of information. Others pointed to Texas’ more recent national title. The Longhorns claim four championships, the most recent in 2005. TCU claims two, with the last coming in 1938.
And a lot of them predicted TCU’s streak is coming to an end in 2018.

A lot of fans were annoyed or defensive in response to the tweet, but there were plenty of media members on the Texas beat who thought it was funny.

And there were even some Texas fans who admitted there wasn’t much they could say in response.
I've been going to UT football games since 1975 and that ass kicking in Ft. Worth in 2015 is the only game I have ever left early. The Frogs have every right to poke us with a stick right now. Patterson owns our ass.

Uh no, the way Texas played in those games triggered me. I had to crawl into my cry closet. Again.

Texas will get a chance to break its losing streak against the Frogs when the teams meet in Austin on Sept. 22.
