The Texas Longhorns have been tearing up the recruiting trail under Tom Herman, and on May 19 they could add to their talented roster.
2019 OLB/DE NaNa Osafo-Mensah has named the Longhorns in his top 2.

Osafo-Mensah will decide between Herman’s Longhorns and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He has a four-star rating in the 247 Sports Composite, and is the No. 7 defensive end in the country by the same metric.
Texas’s 2019 recruiting class is already looking great. The Longhorns have four commits in the class, and all of them have a four-star rating.
Notre Dame has three commits in the class of 2019, and all of them are at least four stars as well.
Should the Longhorns land Osafo-Mensah, their depth in the defensive front will be greatly aided. He has the frame to play either outside linebacker or defensive end.
The Longhorns could be playing a significant amount of young players in the 2018 season. They signed a very talented recruiting class, and early NFL departures have left holes on the defensive side of the ball. The Longhorns’ classes of 2018 and 2019 should be at least prepared to play early, if not to expect some early playing time.
