Texas coach Tom Herman is building for the future — the very, very far future — by offering Class of 2021 quarterback Preston Stone.
Stone, who plays behind center at Parish Episcopal School in Dallas, announced that he had received an offer from the Longhorns on Twitter Friday.

According to 247Sports, Stone racked up 2,937 yards and 29 touchdowns against just 7 interceptions in his freshman year. As a dual-threat quarterback, he also ran for 216 yards and 4 touchdowns. He’s listed at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds.
It’s rare that teams offer prospects so early in their high school careers. But Stone has a host of FBS offers, from Georgia to Texas Tech to TCU.
