Texas Longhorns guard Andrew Jones continues to inch towards a full recovery from leukemia.
Jones has documented that process throughout the recent months, from videos such as him dancing while brushing his teeth, to standing in a gym and shooting a basketball on a shortened goal, to jogging on a treadmill.
The latest update?
Jones got back onto the hardwood and took part in a pick-up game, and he flashed plenty of the skills that made him such a special talent prior to his leukemia diagnosis in January.

Jones, who is still currently undergoing treatment on an outpatient basis, has previously said that he hopes to return to organized basketball and rejoin his team at Texas in time for next season. Whether or not Jones will be able to fulfill that goal in time for the 2018-19 slate, of course, remains to be seen, but as evident above, he’s certainly taking significant strides in the right direction.
Prior to his diagnosis, Jones was leading the Longhorns in scoring with 13.5 point per game, and served as Texas’ most consistent three-point threat, connecting on 46 percent of his attempts.
