A variety of the top talent the Lone Star State has to offer will visit Texas on April 21 for the Longhorns’ Orange-White spring game.
Of those set to tour the Forty Acres, few are more coveted than 2020 Houston North Shore running back Zachary Evans, who will unofficially visit Texas next weekend, per a report from 247Sports’ EJ Holland.
Evans has visited Texas numerous times this spring and at this point, the Longhorns are considered a frontrunner.
In addition to Texas, Evans holds offers from several top-tier programs, including Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan and Miami, among others.
Given what Evans brings to the table as an elite prospect, such profound interest is understandable. As a sophomore, Evans totaled 184 carries for 1,483 yards and 27 touchdowns, and added 12 receptions for 270 yards.
The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Evans is ranked as the nation’s No. 5 overall player and the No. 1 running back in the country, per 247Sports.
