UCLA announced its 2018 class for its athletics Hall of Fame on Wednesday, with eight former Bruins earning bids.

Nikki Blue (women’s basketball), Kevin Chappell (men’s golf), Lynn “Buck” Compton (baseball/football), Larry Farmer (men’s basketball), Amanda Freed (softball), Jenny Johnson Jordan (women’s volleyball), Eric Lindroth (men’s water polo),and Stella Sampras Webster (women’s tennis) were the eight inductees for UCLA.

The Hall of Fame class includes seven Bruins who have totaled 12 NCAA Championships between them as either a player or coach (Chappell, Farmer, Freed, Johnson Jordan, Lindroth and Sampras Webster); three Olympians (Freed, Johnson Jordan and Lindroth); and a World War II hero (Compton).
The official induction will be on October 5, with the class being honored at halftime of the UCLA-Washington football game the following day.
