UCLA coach Chip Kelly was quick and to the point when asked about how the Bruins are performing this spring. But Kelly made it clear that he is pleased with the progress that he’s seen since January.
“[The] players have been great,” Kelly said before practice on Thursday, per 247 Sports’ Tracy Pierson. “They are just learning our coaches. It started with our strength and conditioning coaches back in January but the players have been fantastic.”
The Bruins were in full pads during Thursday’s session. Graduate transfer quarterback Wilton Speight was back at practice for the second time this week, raising speculation that he’s seriously considering the Bruins.
Thursday’s full padded practices was a successful one based out of the news we’ve gathered out of Westwood.
