One of UCLA’s most prized recruits — 4-star quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas — took his official visit to the Bruins’ facilities over the weekend.
According to 247Sports, the gunslinger was thrilled with his stay and new coach Chip Kelly.
“I had a phenomenal time,” Thompson-Robinson told 247Sports. “I had a great time with the players and they showed me a real good time.
“Coach Chip Kelly is a really good person and his message for me is that the best player will play, whether it’s a true freshman or a fifth-year graduate senior. The Rose Bowl was really cool — just the tradition of that place is historic and speaks volumes.”
A potential heir apparent to Josh Rosen, Thompson-Robinson finished his senior season at Bishop Gorman with 3,275 yards and 38 touchdowns through the air. 247Sports indicated that he won’t enroll early at UCLA.
