UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen opened up in an ESPN The Magazine interview on myriad topics ranging from football, politics to his personal life. During the interview, Rosen made one thing clear — he thinks he’s the best quarterback in the 2018 NFL Draft.
When analyzing his quarterback peers, Rosen is confident he stands tall above the rest.
“I’m the best QB in the draft. A lot of guys are flashier, but I think I’m the most efficient, monotonously consistent QB in this draft,” Rosen said, per Sam Alipour of ESPN The Magazine. “[Aaron] Rodgers has some flair, but if you watch Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, there’s nothing that’s explosive or Johnny Manziel-like. It’s just quarterbacking.”
The UCLA product is sure of himself, and rightly so, as this year’s draft looms. All successful athletes are confident.
Rosen’s been heavily nitpicked by people around the NFL. A couple of the criticisms are that he is too confident and inquisitive. Still, most mock drafts have the UCLA quarterback being selected within the top 10 picks.
Regardless of Rosen’s detractor, DieHards believes he’s the purest quarterback in the draft. When breaking down game tape it’s obvious Rosen was the best quarterback in college football last season.
