Patterson sat out his sophomore season after transferring high schools, but picked up offers from both USC and UCLA after he made an impression at both programs’ summer camps.
“UCLA is my dream school, it’s the school I’ve always wanted to go to since I was little,” Patterson told Scout. “I love the school, the coaching staff and it’s a great fit for me both academically and from a football standpoint.”
While he still has ample time to figure out what position he’ll play at the next level, Patterson has been recruited to play safety and receiver. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound athlete also said that he was worked out as a cornerback at UCLA’s camp.
