USC still considers itself a top-tier national program even if recent results haven’t indicated that. One way to help remain relevant across the country would be to steal one of the best offensive linemen in the country from several other blue bloods.
Devontae Dobbs, a 5-star prospect from Michigan, has cut his long list of schools to eight and has USC in there with powers from the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12 and SEC.
I am truly blessed to be put in this position. I want to thank all of the coaches that offered me a full scholarship. However, at this time I will be focusing on the 8 schools listed below. pic.twitter.com/ufgBJWXRTw

The 6-foot-4, 270-pound Dobbs plays guard and tackle but his rankings are based on tackle, where he’s considered the No. 3 player at that position by 247Sports. He’s No. 10 overall in the 2019 recruiting class and second best among prospects from Michigan.
Dobbs has 30 scholarship offers, including several from the Pac-12, but only the Trojans made the cut. He is set to make an official visit with USC on June 22, two weeks after a planned trip to Auburn.
