There is no doubt that many NFL draft experts and team executives are all in on former USC QB Sam Darnold. He is widely recognized as the top QB prospect in the 2018 draft and many expect him to go No. 1 overall to the Cleveland Browns.
FOX Sports’ Colin Cowherd is one of many pundits who believe Darnold has All-Pro potential and is one of the best prospects to come out in years. On Wednesday, Cowherd said that Darnold’s low end would compare to Andrew Luck, while his high end comparison would be Brett Favre.
“I think his high end is Brett Favre. A playmaker, a legend. The potential to be the most talked about quarterback over time in the league.,” said Cowherd. “The low end is Andrew Luck. He may just run so much he gets hurt. He is, in some spots, interception prone. His arm is good, not great.”

This is high praise for Darnold. By suggesting the former Trojans’ floor would be Luck, Cowherd is essentially saying that Darnold has no chance of being a bust. If Darnold is as good as Luck or Favre, he would be a home run pick for any team that takes him.
Darnold will be in attendance for the 2018 NFL Draft at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The first round of the NFL draft kicks off on Thursday, April 25. Don’t expect Darnold to sit on the board for very long.
