It’s always nice to see the college stars you used to root for on Saturdays make big plays on Sundays.
The Pac-12 has had a storied NFL draft history, yet only one of its schools made the cut on NFL.com’s list of schools that have produced the best NFL talent since 2000.
Using a formula that factors in draft position and accolades, NFL.com determined that players drafted from USC have made the third-biggest impact in the league since the turn of the millennium.
USC has had the third-most players drafted (102) since 2000, but the quality of the draftees has been impressive. The top-graded Trojans, according to the formula, were Troy Polamalu, Ryan Kalil, Clay Matthews, Tyron Smith and Lofa Tatupu.
Miami, at No. 1, and Michigan ( you might as well just say Tom Brady) were the only schools with a better score than USC. Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Alabama rounded out the top seven.
