The USC Trojans are expected to compete for a College Football Playoff spot in 2017 following a Rose Bowl victory during the 2016 season.
In the first iteration of the Amway Coaches Poll, the Trojans have been ranked fourth in the country by coaches around the country.

The Trojans only trail Alabama, Ohio State and Florida State in the poll and are the highest ranked Pac-12 team.
The Pac-12 had three other teams ranked in the initial Coaches Poll: No. 7 Washington, No. 14 Stanford and No. 25 Utah.
With sophomore quarterback and Heisman Trophy favorite Sam Darnold leading the way, the sky is the limit for the Trojans in 2017.
