After playing sparingly in his first three seasons, USC senior running back Aca’Cedric Ware is trying to take full advantage of his final opportunity. In the process, Ware is attempting to prove that he’s a starting-caliber running back.
“I love this opportunity,” Ware said, per 247 Sports’ Keely Eure. “I am taking full advantage of this opportunity to work on myself, and not only work on myself, I’m trying to build chemistry with my teammates and let them know I can be the starting running back for this team.”
Ware has been the featured ball carrier this spring with Stephen Carr out with a herniated disc. The senior has rushed for 680 yards and 4 touchdowns in his career, as he has had to take a back seat to other talented running backs.
This season, Ware is hungry for playing time. Injuries have created a chance for Ware to shine. Word out of USC is that the senior has been impressing coaches in his final spring camp.
