Sedrick Barefield’s decision to return to Utah for his senior season was just the start of a big week of roster enhancement for the Utes. Now the NIT runners-up have added another prospect to a solid 2018 recruiting class: 4-star small forward Both Gach.

The 6-foot-7 Gach played last season at Compass Prep in Chandler, Ariz., after starting his high school career in Minnesota. He is ranked as the No. 142 player in the 2018 class by 247Sports. He is ranked as the 37th-best small forward and the second-best player from Arizona.
Gach, who picked Utah over San Diego State and Texas Tech, is the Utes’ sixth commit for 2018 and second-highest rated behind 4-star forward Timmy Allen (the No. 1 prospect from Arizona by 247Sports).
