Utah and Kentucky will open the series in Lexington as the Utes travel to Rupp Arena to face the Wildcats. That game will be played on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018.
In 2019, the Utes and Wildcats will play at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019.
The two schools haven’t met since March 2005, which was a Sweet 16 game held in Austin, Texas. The 2018 game in Lexington will be the 12th time the two schools have played each other on the hardwood.
Kentucky has long been a thorn in the side of the Utes in the NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats have beaten Utah in the Sweet 16 on multiple occasions, including in 1996. The following two seasons Kentucky ousted Utah the Elite 8 in 1997, and the championship game in 1998.
