Larry Krystkowiak is known for his flair. Usually, though, it’s his fashion choices — not his dance moves.
Everyone, clear some space. Larry K is about to get down.

Krystkowiak’s Utes took down the No. 1 seeded St. Mary’s Gaels on Wednesday night in Moraga, Calif., in the quarterfinals of the NIT, surviving a contest that was at times hard on the eyes and needed an extra quarter to determine its winner. No matter, though, because all of the wins count the same, and the NIT wins mean the Utes get to take the floor again in March. And with Utah serving as the lone Pac-12 team still alive in postseason play, that sure does make the conference happy.

They’ll do so six days from now at one of basketball’s most hallowed venues: Madison Square Garden. The Utes will take on the fourth-seeded Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, who defeated Oklahoma State on Wednesday in a fierce contest in Stillwater, Okla., and eliminated another Pac-12 school in USC on Monday.
Until then, keep dancing, coach. And keep wearing those fancy jackets.
