Virginia Tech landed a commitment from 4-star offensive line prospect Bryan Hudson in the Class of 2019 on Tuesday, as Hudson announced the end of his recruitment with a pretty original Twitter video.
The No. 214 player in the country and No. 11 guard, according to the 247Sports composite rankings, received 24 scholarship offers. He also happens to be a track star who plans to play both in college, and he used his discus skills to announce his decision.
Thank you to everyone who has helped me with this process. I'm truly humbled by the faith shown in me by the 24 schools that have offered. I'm thankful to my parents, my coaches, teammates, family & friends. I've found a HOME where I will further my football and track career… pic.twitter.com/4bt5yGPAsU

When the discus stopped rolling, it revealed a Virginia Tech logo to signify his commitment. The next slide in the video showed Hudson wearing a Virginia Tech jersey, along with VT gloves.
However, the drama might have been undercut by the fact that the entire video was scored by Metallica’s Enter Sandman. Since 2000, the song has been used to pump up the crowd during Virginia Tech’s entrance to Lane Stadium.
At night, it creates a particularly intimidating atmosphere, and Hudson clearly hopes to be a big part of making sure that energy carries over to the play on the field once he arrives in Blacksburg. And he should give the track program a boost as well.
