It appears Isaiah Ford’s NFL career is on hold for a little while, as the former Virginia Tech football standout underwent surgery on Wednesday.
According to the Miami Herald’s Armando Salguero, the rookie wide receiver had arthroscopic knee surgery on his meniscus and there “no timetable for return.”
Earlier Thursday, Salguero wrote that Ford was working out as a slot receiver for the Dolphins and was “starting to gain traction as a backup possibility.”
Ford was drafted in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft after making his mark as explosive playmaker at Virginia Tech. He caught 79 passes for 1,094 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior in 2016.
