Virginia Tech football had a good holiday on Tuesday, as the Hokies picked up two commitments.
Running back Caleb Steward of Jacksonville (Fla.) Ed White High School, and Spartanburg (S.C.) Dorman offensive tackle Jordan McFadden both committed to Virginia Tech.
Steward picked Virginia Tech over Boston College, Duke, Purdue and others. He’s a 5-foot-11, 203-pound prospect, ranked as the No. 43 running back in the nation by 247Sports.
The 6-foot-5, 280-pound McFadden held offers from Duke, Michigan State, Mississippi State and North Carolina among his 14 known offers.
The Hokies now have 17 commitments in their 2018 class, which ranks No. 14 in the nation.
