Virginia will have a revised look when they take the field next season.
On Friday, the Cavaliers announced the long-awaited Nike uniforms they’ll be donning in 2018, which pays tribute to the program’s past as they strive to set a “New Standard”.

Virginia coach Bronco Mendenhall previously expressed his desire for the uniforms to have some fresh elements but not deviate too much from the past.
“I’d much prefer a brand where you know exactly who they are, rather than one of 15 or 18 or 20 combinations as to ‘who is that playing?’” Mendenhall said to 247Sports. I’d like for our brand to recognized for integrity, doing it the right way, honoring past successes at UVA and almost being historical in some way, where we’re representing more than football.”
Virginia finished the season 6-7, 3-5 in the Atlantic Coast Conference after being defeated 49-7 by Navy in the Military Bowl.
Part of feeling good is looking good, so hopefully the change in treads will translate to a bounce back campaign for Virginia in 2018.
