Hunter, who was the ACC Sixth Man of the Year, is the best athlete on the Cavaliers and consistently provided a spark off the bench. The freshman averaged 9.2 points and 3.5 rebounds in less than 20 minutes per game.
Virginia is the No. 1 overall seed and still has a good shot to win the national championship. But its odds just took a hit with this discouraging news.
