It’s been nearly a month since Wake Forest held its spring game at BB&T Field. The players are about to finish the spring semester and head home for summer training.
Before all of that happened, though, the Demon Deacons football program decided to have some fun Tuesday afternoon.
With wide receiver Greg Dortch leading the way, Wake Forest recreated the most famous scene from the 1987 version of ‘Dirty Dancing.’ Even coach Dave Clawson helped out, playing the disgruntled character watching the action (originally the disapproving father in the film).
Then through Twitter on Tuesday afternoon, Dortch asked Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham how they did. Check out the Twitter and full video of the reenactment below:

The Wake Forest video is actually a near-exact replicate of the ‘Dirty Dancing’ parody video Beckham, quarterback Eli Manning and the Giants performed in a Super Bowl commercial this year.
Wake Forest won four of its last six games, including a 55-52 victory against Texas A&M in the Belk Bowl, last season to finish 8-5. The Demon Deacons have won a bowl game each of the last two years.
I’m not sure if they are ready to take the next step and compete again in the very tough Atlantic Division, but clearly, their dancing skills are top notched.
