The Washington State Cougars aren’t enjoying the best of baseball seasons, but they’ve found a couple thrills in consecutive nights.
At the expense of Arizona State, the Cougars earned a walk-off win for the second time in as many days, thanks to an RBI single up the middle in the bottom of the 11th inning in Pullman.

Center fielder Danny Sinatro drove in the winning run with his second hit of the day in five at-bats. Michael Newstrom (1-1) earned the win in relief, striking out the only two batters he faced to close the top of the 11th.
The Cougars improved to 7-14 on the season, taking another scoop at digging themselves out of a hole created by losing six of seven road games in the last two-plus weeks.
