Philadelphia 76ers guard Markelle Fultz’s rookie regular season was marred by a shoulder injury but the former Washington Huskies standout is pleased to be back on the court in a winning situation.
Fultz’s only appeared in 14 regular season games due to his shoulder injury and his playing time has been limited thus far in the playoffs. Still, that’s not bringing him down. He’s enjoying Philly’s current postseason run.
The 2017 NBA Draft No. 1 overall pick talked to reporters following the 76ers’ first round win in the playoffs over the Miami Heat.
“It’s the stuff you dream of as a kid growing up,” Fultz said, per NBA.com. “And just to be on this team in this moment right now is incredible.”
Fultz is just averaging a little over seven minutes a game in the playoffs. He could find more playing time in the second round when the 76ers take on either the Boston Celtics or Milwaukee Bucks.
