The star tailback announced he was returning for his senior season after receiving a fourth-round grade from the NFL Draft Advisory Board. He’ll enter 2018 needing only 52 yards to break Napoleon Kaufman’s school career rushing record of 4,106 yards.
Gaskin elected to return to the Huskies for his senior season after contemplating a move to the NFL.
Washington is coming off a season that saw the Huskies earn a berth into the Fiesta Bowl, and they hope to make a run at the College Football Playoff in 2018.
Other top players named by ESPN include quarterbacks Justin Herbert and Khalil Tate of Oregon and Arizona, respectively.
