Fans of both the Washington Huskies and Washington State Cougars are buying tickets to the 2017 Apple Cup in droves. In fact, Washington announced Thursday that tickets for the game are sold out.

This version of the Apple Cup, which has been held 109 times previously, could be the most anticipated matchup in the history of the rivalry. Both the Huskies and the Cougars are ranked in the top 10 of the AP Poll and could both be undefeated by the time Nov. 25 rolls around.
No. 5 Washington has a difficult slate of games after this the game Saturday against Arizona State. The Huskies will have five games in 5 weeks against UCLA, Oregon, Stanford, Utah and finally Washington State. Meanwhile, No. 8 Washington State plays California, Colorado and Arizona before a tough three-game stretch against Stanford, Utah and then Washington. Luckily for the Cougars, they have a bye week the week before the Apple Cup.
Washington holds the overall edge 71-32-6 and has won four straight against Washington State.
