Washington defensive tackle Vita Vea might stay in-state when he begins his NFL career.
The reigning Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year is scheduled to meet with the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Vea has a dinner date with the NFC West team.
Seattle owns the No. 18 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. The Seahawks could use an interior defensive lineman since Sheldon Richardson left the team for the Minnesota Vikings this offseason.
Vea is drawing interest near the top of the draft. The Seahawks will probably have to move up from the 18th spot to select the defensive tackle.
