West Virginia has added another weapon at receiver in Rice graduate transfer Nate German.
German is one of 14 summer enrollees for the Mountaineers, according to the Charleston Gazette-Mail’s Mike Casazza. He played receiver and quarterback during his career with the Owls. He’ll be eligible to play immediately as a graduate transfer.

The 6-foot-2 wideout had announced his decision to transfer in March. He caught 18 passes for 379 yards and 3 touchdowns last season. He also ran for 51 yards and threw for 68 yards.
German gives the Mountaineers some extra depth this year. They lost leading receiver Shelton Gibson to the 2017 NFL Draft.
West Virginia opens its season against Virginia Tech on Sunday, Sept. 3, at FedEx Field in Landover, Md.
