West Virginia landed a commitment from Houston (Texas) North Shore wide receiver Ralph Davis on Thursday.
The 3-star wideout is the Mountaineers ninth commitment for the 2018 recruiting class. He’s No. 183 overall prospect from the state of Texas. He said he chose West Virginia in part because of family members who went to school in Morgantown.

“I am shutting down my recruiting process to follow in my family’s footsteps,” Davis said on Twitter. “I will be attending my dream school the University of West Virginia.”
West Virginia first offered the 6-foot receiver May 12. He also holds offers from Ole Miss and Colorado State.
The Mountaineers now have the No. 59 overall class in the country for 2018. The class currently ranks ninth in the Big 12.
